The High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) is an international association designed to encourage, promote, aid and affect the voluntary interchange of data, information, experience, ideas and knowledge about methods, processes, and techniques relating to investigations and security in advanced technologies among its membership.

The Ohio Chapter of the HTCIA is one of the largest chapters and has been a leader in providing its members with training through association meetings and regional conferences.  The Ohio Chapter hosted the 2006 HTCIA International Training Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lakeland Community College has long been known for its leadership in technology training and the Ohio Chapter of the HTCIA is pleased to be cosponsoring with LCC to bring a national level high technology crime conference to Northeastern Ohio.

The 2008 Ohio Spring Training Conference is expected to bring 200+ attendees together for training and networking.  The attendees are from both public agencies and the private sector.

There will be up to seven different training tracks going on at once, with training in all aspects of computer forensics, cell phone forensics, internet investigation techniques and legal updates to this ever changing field.

Software, hardware and other vendors will be in attendance showing the latest in high technology crime fighting tools.
